Can anyone recommend some books that have plenty of pictures of cannons that were used in the English Civil War?

It's for a future sculpting project.

I have a few Osprey books and they are good to start, but I'm looking for something with more detail, or even plan drawings of the types of cannons used.

"Weapons and Warfare 1618-1648" (Eduard Wagner) is a comprehensive, beautifully illustrated guide to the uniforms and weaponry of the 30 Years War. Artillery is covered in great detail – including manufacture and transportation. I believe it has been reissued in paperback. Artillery was fairly standardised across Western Europe. I would make this my first reference point.

You could try Stephen Bull, "`The Furie of the Ordnance': Artillery in the English Civil Wars" (Boydell 2008) and the Osprey "English Civil War Artillery" (New Vanguard series, 2005).

Thanks, I have the Osprey book English Civil War Artillery and it's pretty good, I'll try the others mentioned.

A few people have told me that English cannons used during that period were very similar in design to French and German cannons and that I could use those as reference as well.
