Very impressive. What rules did you use? |

Nice scratch-built ships and good info on the Thoroughbred vessels. I also would like to know what rules you used. Prevailing winds? |

For rules, I used a slightly modified version (home modifications) of Sea Eagles, which is an updated version of Prevailing Winds and is sold by Thorougbred. I had narrowed my choices down to Sailpower or Sea Eagles. Both rules have good gunnery rules and movement is similar. Sailpower has the benefit of having stats for lots of ships, but not as good boarding rules. I like Sea Eagles boarding rules, but the stats only come with the ship kits you order. I ended up making up stats for the ships (based on the kits I have, Sailpower stats, and some guesswork). It seemed to work out okay. |

Thanks. I will likely do the same and have a conglomeration based upon various rule sets modified to make the game flow without running aground on a reef of minutiae. |
