I got a 3D printer for Christmas and I was hoping to expand my terrain options. I was hoping people would know where I could find files for the misc items found in an urban environment such as telephone poles, dumpsters, fire hydrants etc. I tried Google but found a huge amount of information and none of it was what I was looking for. I tried model train websites but that wasn't as helpful as I hoped. I'm using 28mm, and am willing to go from 1/48 to 1/60. Thanks in advance. |

I use Sketchup to design those things(because it is free)but files sometimes need run through Meshlab (again free)to convert format. |

The trick/knack is to be able to 'rescale' items via an easy software package………! |

Which of those scales would you prefer? What file formats does your printer accept? I could probably whip some basic stuff up tomorrow and upload it all to Mediafire as a ZIP'd file. |
