Cool batrep, sounds like an interesting game, I'll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing. |

Thanks for that. I got these rules for Christmas. I'm hoping to bring the Far Cry 4 video game to the tabletop using them. |

I am currently tinkering with this rule set and plan on presenting it to my gaming group after a few solo runs. How did you rate your marines? I have been making some adaptions to 40K with the point builder in the back. A 40K Marine with all the things it should have weighs in at around 25 points, more if they have support weapons. On paper I created a five man fire team and the point total was over 100. A 40K marine fire team in this rule set should slaughter hordes of lesser troops just like they do in the game fluff. |

@Cloudcaptain – thanks for the link – this should speed up the game! @Dragon Gunner – I adjusted the 40K scale to the rules. My SM have normal Special Ops profile from the book. This was a 50 points game. According to my experience, Black Ops favor more low cost troops over few expensive ones. 25 conscript soldiers of 4 points each can fire some 75 shots at one of your 100 points marines. At 5+, statistically 25 will hit. Even with 2+ save, one of the 25 dice will roll 1 and the marine is dead. On the other hand, one marine can fire at most 4 shots per activation, so will need time to kill the horde. He will most likely die before that. |

PS. My fault, you actually have 25 points marines, so 6 conscripts. Still, that is 6 hits, and each 1 is lethal, so they will give hard time to small Marine force. |

I was thinking the same thing I will have to play test it. The marines were upgraded with most of the high tech goodies at the back of the book and would need to use them wisely to gain advantage. (i.e. throw smoke grenades then use thermal imaging to see through the smoke and shoot targets) The Marines also had heavy combat armor with exo skeleton upgrade putting the number needed to roll fairly high… |
