I was just browsing EBay and came accross a Reaver Titan on 'Buy it now' for £99.00 GBP There is always an awful lot of buy it now and not much taking bids. I'm wondering if anyone actually buys this stuff as I recently offered someone ten quid for an Eldar Titan and they accepted at once!!!
Are these people living in a fools paradise?

Often they're just taking a punt – stick it up on a free listing day, and hope that someone comes along with a very deep wallet and a burning desire to own that particular model….. Some of it really does trade for silly prices though, and some for peanuts – it varies hugely based on the desirability of the model. A quick search for completed listings will give you some idea.

Some suckers might bite at their asking price, but with Specialist Games returning Epic will be reintroduced eventually and the minis will no longer be OOP so-to-speak.

Well, perhaps…

I saw a metal genestealer go for £100.00 GBP -the seller admitted he was speechless!

David Manley27 Dec 2015 2:40 p.m. PST

lol, I once saw one of Toby Barrett's 1/600 ironclad models, unmade, selling for >$100. The model was available from Toby at a small fraction of the price!

The one that gets me is people selling Heroics and Ros microtanks. If you look at their site 99 times out of 100 they are better to buy brand new. And then the seller puts a massive postal charge on top for something that could be sent in an envelope.

I sold a epic reaver for $25 USD last month

28mm fanatic .."Epic will be reintroduced". Where did you read that? When will this be? While I'd love to have a new set of minis for Epic, it would destroy the game as I know it as GW is sure to want to change the rules of Epic Armageddon and eBays 'buy it now' prices will seem cheap compared to GWs.

I would also like to know when Specialist Games is going to produce Epic?

Yes some Epic things go for outrageous prices it depends on the rarity of the item. Some of the big sellers I have seen…

1. Anything Forge World

2. Any of the Adeptus Mechanicus Ordinatus vehicles

3. Titan conversion parts

4. Rare specialist titans

5. Chaos infantry stands

6. Eldar Aspect stands

7. Tyranid Infantry

8. Capitlos Imperialis

A Reaver titan usually sells for around $25 USD-$30. The reason Titans sell so well is all the different weapon variants and combinations you need to collect and the desire to field more than one of that variant.

"Blood Bowl, Epic, Necromunda and Battlefleet Gothic are just some of the great games the team are [sic] already eyeing up," Games Workshop said.

Read more about it here: link

So for those who are willing to wait they won't have to pay the prices of ebay profiteers like £99.00 GBP for a Reaver Titan anymore.

I sold my BFG ork "gorbags revenge" for 137usd about 3 months ago.

There's often a massive difference between an Ebay seller's ambitions on a Buy It Now and what most people are willing to pay. They only need the occasional obsessive to make it worthwhile but if you put them on your watch list you'll see that most don't sell.

As for Specialist Games, I want to see deeds, not words.

At 28MM Fanatik thank you for the link.

I will believe it when I see it. If they have a release schedule it would go along way towards making a believer out of me.

Yes, I too am "suspect" of any GW's claims of an Epic rebirth … Maybe they will call it "Epic 40K Phoenix" … And the prices will be as crazy as their and FW's current prices …

SouthernPhantom01 Jan 2016 7:54 p.m. PST

I'll believe it when I see it. We may just wind up seeing a single Space Hulk-style box. I would have to imagine that GW would redo all the minis, since the old stuff isn't quite in line with their current aesthetic. Doing a whole range would cost a fortune in molds. No matter what is released, however, I'll try and supply additional Shapeways models to fill the inevitable gaps in the new range!

Mithmee02 Jan 2016 11:03 p.m. PST

Epic has been nearly out of print for two decades now.

But you know if GW brought it back they would be charging around the same amount.

Just found some nids and Eldar in a box today.
