Why does a robot need a codpiece? |

A bipedal robot would require it for similar reasons to human beings. Your pelvis is absolutely critical to keeping your entire body moving. Your spine and legs intersect there, with all the attendant arteries… If you suffer damage to your pelvis, your internal organs can shift downward… You can sever arteries and you won't be able to walk. If your robot is critically damaged in the same location, it's a mobility kill that scraps the entirety of its locomotive system |
