That is very fine modelling. The water is some of the most realistic I have ever seen on a diorama. Pity I can't read the blog to pick up some tips on his techniques.

That will have taken a fair bit of time to do. Just those little trees will probably be wire armatures with green stuff or milliput over them. Then you need to stick leaves on one at a time.
