Can't think of any US town that would have had a Gothic church destroyed during the ACW, so the answer is "no."

That is some destruction as well………….very much needs HE to do that much damage to a stone built structure.

paperbattles. You have to link to a public web address. That means posting your pictures to something like a public Dropbox directory. More info in FAQ formatting. TMP link

If you think of the second word of the thread title as a verb instead of a noun it makes for an odd sentence…

This would work for the ECW but not the ACW.

Yes Murvihill – I was expecting a critique of ecclesiastical architectural aesthetics.

You could paint those up and sell them as mantlepiece knick-knacks to anarchists, and Richard Dawkins and his godless minions.

I think this is a beautiful casting. But could anything man-made in ECW produce this degree of damage?……beyond an earthquake or some such Act of God!

Been to Corfe Castle recently deadhead?
They made a bit of a mess out that with just gunpowder.

Henry Martini01 Jan 2016 2:11 p.m. PST

God would do that?

He doesn't deserve public housing.

I had never heard of Corfe castle before (a long way from NE England) but now I know all about it … and even the model village, shewing how it looked before ye fappers of Parliament didft their moft foulle and eville deed…
