You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

April 1945 – Somewhere along the German border, a US platoon sent forward to secure a ruined hamlet between the frontlines, runs into a reinforced German patrol with the same objective…

Nice! Was this from a game or a diorama?

PiersBrand25 Dec 2015 2:08 a.m. PST

A game…

Playtest for my WW2 skirmish rules.

Well done!
I like the rubble.

This is getting monotonous – monotonously excellent.

Unusual to see GI's in greatcoats as they were unpopular but were worn sometimes.

Impressive terrain…the rubble is a really nice touch. Good to see a WW2 game that doesn't use mdf buildings too, for a change.

As a minor quibble. I think the Americans were well into Germany in April 1945, not near the border other than possibly the Czech one.

I think the Ruhr pocket was still holding out then, so although some of the US Army may have been in Czechoslovakia, many weren't. The channel ports were still under siege then too.

I never said which German border… ;)

Mainly AB and Battlefield on this with a few Wartime and Kelly Heroes.

Lovely! Those card faced buildings really enhance the overall visual aesthetic, what brand are they?

PiersBrand30 Dec 2015 8:46 a.m. PST

They are homemade by a chum.

Stormfather30 Dec 2015 9:34 a.m. PST

Beautiful as ever.

Are the skirmish rules an evolution of Battlegroup?

PiersBrand31 Dec 2015 9:22 a.m. PST

Nope… my own workings really.

spartan6631 Dec 2015 12:34 p.m. PST

Is nobody going to ask when they will be available and if they will be the best skirmish ruleset ever;)

PiersBrand31 Dec 2015 12:55 p.m. PST

No idea when, if ever, they will be published. Those playtesting like them but I'm not completely happy with them.

Best? Dunno, don't play any other WW2 skirmish games to say… ;)
