Checking the site I could not find any Imperial Romans listed. Have they stopped producing them?

Huscarle24 Dec 2015 6:32 a.m. PST

I don't remember them ever having done anything for Romans apart from the Late Romans & later.

Can't see the other ancients they did….celts etc
May be they haven't added them to the web site yet?

They did Imperial Romans . I had purchased some from them. Just don't see them listed now.

I would contact them. They had a good range of Romans and Celts. They could be reorganizing the molds, etc.

I noticed the same thing recently, and wondered where the Imperial Romans went. They were a good match, I thought, for the Perry/Foundry Romans.

1st Corps have a range which match in with the Perry/Foundry range.

Maybe they were licensed figures from someone else, who took the rights back.

Yes, they did have them about 10 years ago, I have some in my cabinet.

Wondered the same thing recently during a (very) brief perusal of their site…in fact it "seemed" a number of other types as well?

Cheriton: Yes same here . I also noticed a lot of the Germanic and others are now missing from the site. Maybe someone from Gripping beast could explain this.

Hmmm…. I remember GB telling me the line for the Carthaginians – and I think the Romans – were done on the "smaller" dollies. Perhaps they've been pulled so they can be remade on the larger dollies?

I also thought or heard that some lines were to be remade? Mike Adams

Ah, that might likely be it. I recall being upset that GB's ancients were often quite smaller than others.

Even within ranges, for example 10th-12th century Byzantines, size even varied (too much) between infantry and cavalry [riders being the problem).

Hopefully someone from Gripping Beast will respond to this concern. I see where Aventine Miniatures have some nice Early Imperial Romans so may go with them.

jsmcc9128 Dec 2015 8:57 a.m. PST

All of their ancient ranges are being remastered. They will be released sometime next year.

Tyler32631 Dec 2015 6:01 p.m. PST

Ah! So we have the reason they are missing. Thanks for posting.

Yep. Talked to the guys the other day. Good news.
