So, I just bought the rules, and I feel rather dumb for not getting how to turn ships using the chart giving.

If I'm reading it right, in a vacuum, a ship with a vs turning class can make the 45-degree turn using 1" of their speed, with a ship with a L would take 16" to do the same 45-degree turn?

Please feel free to let me know how wrong I am.

I don't have a copy of v3 to hand but I do have v2.2 and I don't think A&A changed the turning rules between the two. Ships turn by moving around the edge of the turning circles (on page 52 I think). To turn through 45 degrees a ship using the VS circle uses 1" of movement, S uses 2" etc. up to VL which uses 5"
