So I used some Quick Shade Soft Tone Ink on my Renaissance figures and it produced a nice effect. I then purchased, what I was thinking was the same product, Quickshade Soft Tone in the can and it has left a totally different effect on the figures. Has anyone else found this to be true? |

Yes , they're two completely different products . I love the inks but it gets very expensive , they don't last terribly long . |

Also, the can is oil based stain I thought it would be the same, but read the label. Soft tone in the bottles is great and they now have other colors like reds and blues in ink form. |

I guess I have to decide which I like better. The ink adds a nice tone to the Bright colors of the renaissance figures but the Quick Shade can makes the colors stand out better. |

The Quick Shade (can oil based) also gives a hard finish that will protect the figures paint and so reduce the chances of chipping. |
