This is the first of a planned series of WW2 historical scenarios based on the operations of the Royal Hampshire Regiment (7th Battalion) of the 130th Brigade, 43rd (Wessex) Division in Europe July 1944 to April 1945. I created some rules to play the company level game (based on my battalion level rules) and played out the scenario in 6mm forces on a 32"x20".

A very long blog post contains the first historical scenario for July 1944 (attack on a farm complex), the replay and some musings on how I ended up doing a side project on creating a historical company level scenario. This post may be found here:

I can always appreciate a well-researched campaign. Nicely done.

Agreed! Nice to see the work put in on an historical scenario. Looking forward to seeing more.

Well done; a scenario worth stealing.

This scenario is scaled perfectly for 'Fireball Forward' [if you choose to publish].

Thanks all. It does take a long time to create a historical scenario, far longer than I originally thought but as long as some of you already know. I did find in fun to do and so I can see create a few more in the next few months.

Feel free to give the scenario a go with other rules – it would suit most company level rules that have a section/squad to a base.
