Thanks for posting, this is a great model!

Are these the privately produced 40 pounders? Are any of these still available?

Rhingyll19 Dec 2015 9:14 a.m. PST

Yes, the guns were privately produced by Eclaireur who posts on this board. He may have some extras. They are really nice, very well detailed guns and the only 25/28mm 40 pounder BLRs that I know of. The Ironduke bullocks and limber, although Indian Mutiny, overlapped well into the 2nd Afghan War.

I like it!

Nice. I always like stuff like this. In our games they are more useful as objects of ambush than as actual guns. grin

Eclaireur,

Would you please contact me if you are interested in parting with some 40 pounder models? stewartwtatgmaildotcom.

Thanks.

Hi there Big Red – yes I believe there are a couple left (tho I am away from home and would need to double check that in order to confirm). I will not actually be back home until early in the New Year but I will email you when I get eyes on,

Any possibility you could repost your pictures so I can see how you made up the traces for the bullocks?

Thanks for re-posting, Bob!

thanks. Did you actually make up traces for the leading sets of animals?

Rhingyll19 Jan 2019 2:25 p.m. PST

alan L. No traces on the leading sets as I, like you, wasn't sure want they looked like. Just put the wooden yokes on them.

Eclaireur, I'd definitely be interested in buying a couple as well, if you still have some available?

Hi gents, I've gotten the same set up from Bob a while back and will post pics of how I set it up based on the drawings and pics we've found. It's not perfect but looks good IMHO.

Cheers,
JB
