How are boarding actions handled in the rule set? Are boarding actions switched over to the 15mm board or are they handled with just the 1/450 scale ships? I know that there were two different versions of the rules.

Can't say about the latest release, but IIRC, the older rules used two different scale, and/or you could just use 15mm for the ships and men.

Hello
The boarding actions are all in the rules. You do not need 15mm figures at all unles you are doing the mini campaign which has land raids in it too. The boarding actions take into account the number and type of crew. The figures are not shown in 1/450th but the fight still happens. let me know if you need more info

Of course, the rules edition I have is when they still sold 15mm boats too.

Well, they still sell 'boats' just not the long gone SDD models (long gone as far as I know, anyway). And, Martin, how are the 15 mm pirate native civilians coming along? I'm really, really looking forward to seeing those! That would be the king and queen, the prince and princess, the shaman type figure and the drummer set. Also, the mature male, young adult male and male child set. And the mature female, young adult female and female child set. These are going to be GREAT! : ) I'll finally be able to populate my Polynesian villages – and maybe even do a Mutiny on the Bounty scenario. Yeehaw!

Martin, Martin, Martin – I feel so, well, ignored! It must be time to assemble a fleet of pirates and sail your way. Avast there, you scum dogs – a crew be forming!

I agree they would be jolly useful. Problem is that there is so much else demanding my time. i spend a lot of time doing maitenance and other jobs that reduces my available sculpting time. So i need to attend to the ones that will sell enough to help us survive. There are more and more 15mm suppliers these days which reduces our market a lot. They often duplicate things we alrady do which indicates where the income s coming from. but that is life! It is the SS and old guard that make money for companies not just the things the sculptor likes. Hence why there are so many brit oara and napoleonic French about.
Don't forget that when we started releasing the 15mm WW2 no one else was releasing any at all. Essex, flames, face of battle. skytrex didn't do any at all. Same for Vietnam etc…

all the best

Martin,

First, thanks for taking the time to reply. I've sent you, a few days ago, an email about some other matters and also asking about this. I want these enough to underwriter their creation if the cost is not prohibitive. I'm looking forward to your reply. I certainly understand not wanting to lose money so I'm thinking to make sure you at least break even and hopefully turn some profit. I do think with Pulp gaming, such figures would have a larger audience of interest beyond my narrow interest in them (though I'd be happy to use them in my left side of the dial pulp world, too).
