Are you buying stuff for yourself? Taking advantage of all the sales? All done, or still got orders to place? grin

(I just placed another order with Litko…)

jeffreyw318 Dec 2015 2:16 p.m. PST

Yep, done. Waiting for my Litko order to show up… I feel good inside knowing that I've ensured the Perrys will get an extra day or two on the Southern Coast of France next year… grin

Texas Jack18 Dec 2015 2:16 p.m. PST

Yep, took possession today of my last Napoleonic French that I will ever need to buy (yeah, right). Of course, I still have a ton of Frenchies that havenīt been painted yet, but at least I am finished with buying.

Striker18 Dec 2015 2:21 p.m. PST

Yes and then some.

Garand18 Dec 2015 2:40 p.m. PST

Yes, Went a little crazy in fact:

1 Box Warhammer Chaos Warriors
1 Box Warhammer Screamers of Tzeentch
1 Box Warhammer Dwarf Warriors
1 box BtGA Algoryn Command
1 book rules for Beyond the Gates of Antares
1 kit 1/35 Italeri M47 (to be built as a French Suez Crisis machine)

At least that is going nuts for me…

Damon.

No purchases for me.

elsyrsyn18 Dec 2015 4:03 p.m. PST

I did, a little bit – the Miniatures Market sale got me to cough up a few shekels on bargains (some for me, some as gifts).

Bought a boatload. Fire Forge Teutonics, T shirts from Ranger Up, War & Empire Roman Kickstarter, and maybe the Forgestarter Russians.

Fat Wally18 Dec 2015 4:41 p.m. PST

All done.

Just received notice that my pre-ordered Gozanti-Class Cruiser Assault Carrier for Star Wars X-wing will be with me by Monday.

:-)

Nope, my Hobby Money goes to gifts for my wife and Holiday Alcohol. No toys for a couple weeks.

tigrifsgt18 Dec 2015 5:01 p.m. PST

With all of the issues at AoW I ended up with four boxes of FF plastic. What I wanted was two of the new GB mounted Arabs and the new Conquest archers. I hope these guys find an American distributor soon or all my plastic army plans go up in smoke. I picked, wife paid, that's the way it usually goes. (FF foot sgts.,mtd. teutonics, foot and mtd. Mongols)

Yes, I just bought $3 USD worth of seed beads at Michael's for a conversion while I was out earlier. The rest will be mid-January.

Bashytubits18 Dec 2015 5:41 p.m. PST

I am trying to sell my hobby stuff, oh the madness.

Grelber18 Dec 2015 6:05 p.m. PST

Yes, I'm buying stuff. I usually get some money for Christmas, and carefully plan to spend about 10 times as much money as I'll actually receive. I have two pages of items listed for five more orders. In addition, I ordered from the Warstore's Black Friday sale, and am still waiting for those to arrive.

My company gave us a bonus this year, so I picked up some Perry BIF range of figures for my "what if" ACW games.

Mako1118 Dec 2015 6:15 p.m. PST

No, the budget is non-existent.

Schogun18 Dec 2015 6:48 p.m. PST

Hard to tell my family what to buy, so I bought stuff myself. More 10/12mm Pithead tanks (and armored cars) for North Africa. An N-scale dummy locomotive, rolling stock and track. A 1/144 CR.42 Italian fighter from Shapeways. 1/144 German armor number decals. 2mm and 4mm tufts from Fredericus Rex/Green Line. More cork bark for making terrain.

Santa was good to me this year!

Debating whether to buy the Perrys' Battle in a Box or the Italeri Rorke's Drift set.

Purchases for myself this December included one item on sale, one item of opportunity, and one item that was a bit spontaneous, and these were …

28mm Perry carroccio, oxen, & figures, on sale from AoW.
25/28mm Ral Partha late medieval artillery set, from a "flea marktet" table.
28mm Warlord French Chasseurs a Cheval, from local hobby store.

Syrinx018 Dec 2015 7:44 p.m. PST

I ordered some paint from Mark (Extra Crispy) but otherwise I have been really lite on the purchases. I have so many figures to paint for my current projects I didn't even buy anything on black Friday.

Jamesonsafari18 Dec 2015 9:26 p.m. PST

I have my hobby funds and buy when opportunity or need indicates.
So not done yet I guess.

Brian Bronson19 Dec 2015 5:53 a.m. PST

I took advantage of GHQ's black Friday sale to expand my WW2 micro armor collection to include Italians. Though with my lead pile backlog it may be years before I paint them!

GarrisonMiniatures19 Dec 2015 6:50 a.m. PST

Budget is really really overspent now so, yes, all hobby stuff bought.

Thorfin1119 Dec 2015 7:03 a.m. PST

Yes, a boxful of all the Pulp Alley Rules, Fortune and Character cards, Counters and Play aids.

Just arrived and suggested it be wrapped and put under the tree! Irony is it will be a surprise for my wife and kids and not for me but it ensures I get what I really want.

Timmo uk19 Dec 2015 8:52 a.m. PST

I've zero spare cash at the moment and growing list of materials that are running out and need restocking. So no I've not got everything nor will I have for at least a few months. I'm hoping that this situation might change by Salute, mid April 2016.

coopman19 Dec 2015 2:24 p.m. PST

Received the "Iron Cross" and "Team Yankee" rulebooks this week, so that completes everything that I had ordered for myself.

Disco Joe19 Dec 2015 5:40 p.m. PST

Haven't found anything new that interested me.

hocklermp520 Dec 2015 9:58 a.m. PST

Bought another of Crescent Root's new 28mm desert buildings. The fit and finish on these are truly amazing. A recent TMP post on the Iraq War had a battle report of city fighting amidst numbers of these buildings that was beautiful. I do like a table filled with the best scenery available.

Howler20 Dec 2015 10:05 p.m. PST

What I wanted to buy and what I bought are two different matters. I could afford nothing but did buy heroes of Normandie and litho star wars tokens

ViscountEric21 Dec 2015 10:54 a.m. PST

My wife usually get ths look of defeat the second she tries to figure out what I want for my hobby (or worse yet, the chaos which is my want list on my blog), so this year I gave her a simple 10-item Amazon want list she could pick a few from.

I had to glance on the account to resolve a shipping issue on another order and discovered she order all ten for me. A whole lotta Osprey rule-books and everything available for Cthulhu Invictus is coming my way.

… then I saw the metric shit-ton she ordered for our girls.

Time to sell plasma on the way home from work this week.

I won't be ordering anything for myself until my Christmas bonus kicks in (always after Christmas, but consistent). Then its a pile of Pulp Figures (and my Movember figures patiently put to the side).
