Is anyone familar with these books, there are a series of them regarding the Napoleonic War; the 1814 campaign is the newest one, there is also one on the 1813 campaign, the Russian campaign, the 1809 campaign and the campaign in Spain among others. These are massive volumes, french text, loaded with illustrations and maps, each one retails for north of about 500.00 Euros. I'm looking at about a possible $2,000.00 USD investment and was wondering if anyone has these and if so, what your thoughts are. These look similar to the volumes published by Le Livre Chez Vous and/or the works of Tranie and Carmigniani, all of which I presently own. Are these as good, better or worse than these I am wondering; my main interest is the artwork, I love Napoleonic battle artwork. Any advice/opinions would be appreciated. |

I have the boxed, limited edition, 2 volume set, Les Uniformes Des Guerres Napoleoninennes. Superior quality, and the jewel in my personal library. I love them and happy to have parted with the considerable purchase cost as they are now very difficult to acquire. |
