Some manufacturers sell ranges of miniatures with the option of purchasing figures in winter coats and other related gear. It seems the most common are WWII, ACW and Napoleonics. Do you have any miniature armies fully equipped for winter? (a) Yes, I have entire armies in winter uniforms (specify details if you wish). (b) Yes, but only a few figures/units in winter uniforms. (c) No, but I might get some in the future. (d) No, but only because there are none available in winter clothing. (e) No, I am not interested in winter uniforms for my miniatures. |

C. It is on my "one day" list, but basically I'd have to redo the entire lot again in winter clothing on snow bases, so it isn't hugely attractive. |

(a) Yes … where appropriate – it's nice to be able to run Winter scenarios with the right visuals (and to run the odd game that looks a bit different) ..
(Red Army paras/Winter ops)
(Cold War on ice … ) For some PBI or AK style games you don't require massive armies and/or battlefield layouts. Also troops in winter white coveralls get pretty generic so can stand in in a number of roles … Pre 20th century the difference is often a greatcoat and a scarf plus some snow on the base … Phil P.B.Eye-Candy |
