What is "Ernest Saves Christmas?" ??

nazrat17 Dec 2015 6:42 a.m. PST

I've never seen it and I hope I never do.

BCantwell17 Dec 2015 7:18 a.m. PST

I'd have to say the ending credits are my favorite part of any Ernest movie

Old Wolfman17 Dec 2015 7:42 a.m. PST

"Air brakes."

RavenscraftCybernetics17 Dec 2015 8:10 a.m. PST

isnt that the one where 2 female elfs demonstrate the "venus' butterfly" maneuver under a tree in the background during the dinner scene?

When they roll the credits at the end.

The bits about hohos, zingers, and dingdongs. Oops, those were the commercials. Speaking of which, this would be PERFECT for MST3K

Never heard of it, looks like an American thing…

It was very much an "American thing"-- the character originated on bad local commercials and became nationally popular, spawning a number of increasingly horrible movies. They made Adam Sandler's worst look like Academy Award winners… 8)=

Christmas is in BIG trouble if it needs Ernest to save it.

Clays Russians17 Dec 2015 4:11 p.m. PST

I wish we could punt Adam Sandler right into the sea of Cortez

Gotta go with the part where the TV totally blacks out when I shut it off if that movie is being aired.

The FBI warning at the start of the movie … someone would pirate that Bleeped text … hilarious!

Bashytubits19 Dec 2015 9:21 a.m. PST

This was my favorite scene from the movie.

You guys are harsh. This is actually my favorite christmas movie along with Heat Miser Show. Funny and touching at the same time.

Seriously.

Give it a chance!

raylev320 Dec 2015 11:20 a.m. PST

It's a great Christmas movie! A bit old now -- came out in 1988.

Just about any scene with the guys from the loading dock are try to deal with reindeer shipping crates, and when the reindeer are on the ceiling.

Don't bad talk Ernest! He was awesome!

Bashytubits24 Dec 2015 10:59 p.m. PST

Gunfreak, this sort of says it all.

The director of "Shadow of the Vampire",with John Malcovich and Willem Dafoe, was hired on the strength of his first film,"Begotten",which I have not seen, but about which a critic said it "makes "Eraserhead" look like "Earnest Saves Christmas".
