It was very much an "American thing"-- the character originated on bad local commercials and became nationally popular, spawning a number of increasingly horrible movies. They made Adam Sandler's worst look like Academy Award winners… 8)= |

It's a great Christmas movie! A bit old now -- came out in 1988. Just about any scene with the guys from the loading dock are try to deal with reindeer shipping crates, and when the reindeer are on the ceiling. |
