Well I exorcised the "new army curse" and got my ass handed to me big time. But the table looked good even if I didn't advance more than 18" into it! link Some teaser pics:

I'm not sure why the TMP link is in there but whatever… at least two of the pics worked and the link to my blog. And it's allowing replies too unlike some of my previous attempts to post pics! James |

Freshly painted units always get trashed in the first game :) |

There is a reason that the Canadians brought Leopard lls to Afghaniand to support their LAVx. |

Yes, yes there is! I could have used some 120mm direct fire. I've got a Leopard 2A6 and threatened to bring it on. Maybe I should have? |

Holy cow, that was a helluva fight! All of that without even getting roughed up by the IEDs. That looked to be a whole lot of fun, I'd love to see more, and I love the Elhiem troops. V/R, Jack |

I found it too hard to activate units with FUBAR. Frustrating for me. |

Jamesonsafari, What unit are you in for Civil War reenacting? Saw you leathers. 107 Ohio Vol. Inf. Jax FL |

That's an easy fix for FUBAR. Just switch to using a D10, or D12 die for activations, instead of using the D6, depending upon your preference, and the dice you have available. Using a D10, you get the following activation success percentages each turn: Elites = 90% success Veteran = 80% Regular = 70% Green = 60% That way, poor units may still not always activate, but will do so more frequently. There's still a good possibility they'll fail at a critical point though, which should still make your games interesting. |
