Hi,

here you are some pictures of a wargame of the French and Indian War with 15mm figures mostly Essex and Freikorps15.

I hope you like it.

I love the French and Indian War… always great to see a fun posting like this. I just completed my 15mm/18mm French and Indian War collection a few months ago. Mine is largely Blue Moon with some Old Glory 15s, Peter Pig, Frontier and a few Essex included as well. If you have more pictures, please post them. When I was working on my collection I would have loved to have found more collections like yours to view in the process of working on mine. You can see my FIW at link

15mm is an excellent scale to play FIW – I use it with Muskets & Tomahawks and Peter Pig figures

Your gallery is beatifull. I like so much the figures an the terrain and the vignettes. I have too civilians and other figures to decorated the battlefield. I'm working know on a more realistic modular terrain.

I have too some figures by Blue Moon but I start my collection in the 1990s and then I have the main body of figures by Essex and Freikorps 15.

I had some collections with Peter Pig figures but I don't like very much, they are slightly smaller than the others. I'm agree with 15mm scale, Shedman.

I use an adaptation of rulesheet "The Age of Malborough" wich was published by Gladiator Games.

Here you are some more pictures.

Great use of detail. I really like the fact that you weren't afraid to do single figure basing which is really nice with FIW figures. Love the movement through the forest. In one picture it looks like you have a river… do you have anymore pictures of that? Thanks for the kind words about my stuff and for posting more of yours. As I said, I really enjoy this. Richard

I should have added a comment about my use of Peter Pig. While they are generally smaller than the Blue Moon, I found that the Peter Pig Woodland Indians from their AWI range worked well. Also I really wanted a French "whaleboat" and canoe convoy since the French attackers on Fort William Henry came by both land and water. The Peter Pig longboats, rowing crews, and seated soldiers from their Pirate range were the best I could find for this purpose, and I think worked really well with the Blue Moon canoes in my lake scene. My Wild West Gallery is based on Peter Pig, but I have used selected Peter Pig throughout my other 15mm collections when I find really interesting pieces that just aren't available otherwise. Peter Pig is always worth a good look when you are seeking figures to enrich a collection. Sorry for the long winded comment here. Richard

Here are a few pics of my terrain boards set up for F&I. 28mm. It's the same board in both galleries, just changed the terrain/season/etc. Board is 24" x 24".

BTW, War in 15mm, your pics are truly inspiring! I've looked at your stuff for years. Beautiful…

Peter, those are wonderful layouts… really great looking terrain. Thank you for the generous words about my collections. I appreciate it very much.

Beautiful gallery and pieces, Peter, that is the dream of many wargamers like me. I was watching yesterday the Peter Pig catalogue and the AWI references, seems interesting. I saw the whaleboats but not the crews, do you know if any reference about crews.

I still I have some Peter Pig figures of Wild West and Ancient Germans but is difficult to combine with other figures.

Richard, the river pieces are made on wood pieces with Alkyl. If I have time i'll put some pictures of the proccess. I think that the result is more realistic because the surface is more like water.

Thanks Caetratus. I can help you make that dream come true!
