Hi. Does anyone make a Robot Gorilla in 25/28/30mm scale ?

I don't mean a cyber Gorilla, I need a robot that looks like a Gorilla.

TIA

Pete

I need a robot that looks like a Gorilla.

Surely a robot that looks like a Gorilla would be pretty indistinguishable from an actual gorilla?
In which case I suggest Irregular Miniatures, AN14:

Are you looking for a larger version of something like this:

These are from Westphalia Miniatures.

Just trying to get an idea of what sort of robot look you are after.

Check out eBay and look for AT-43 Karmans. Tons that will only require a head swap.

Your not thinking of Robot Monster are you? The movie where they could not afford a robot costume (only the head) but for some reason could afford a Gorilla costume and robot head?

Jakar Nilson13 Dec 2015 8:47 a.m. PST

The Alpha Zorgl from Golgo Island is an excellent not-Robot Monster.

I wonder if there is something in the Godzilla or King Kong line as I seem to remember a giant robotic gorilla.

Guthroth13 Dec 2015 8:56 a.m. PST

M C MonkeyDew has it right. I really want a Gorilla-sized and shaped robot to accompany the chimps.

The Golgo Island fig is good, but not really what I want

Probably not exactly what you are after… but here it is anyway:

Have you looked at Pulp City? They have a figure called Ape Bot that might work for you.

Mecha Gor is not bad at all! Love the pilot. With little work he could stand in for Ack-Ack Macaque.

Jakar, any idea how tall that Golgo Island figure is? It's very nice.

Big Dan's link looks like it might be perfect!

43mm from sole to the top of the helmet.

Gone Fishing13 Dec 2015 10:57 a.m. PST

Thank you, Tberry.

A perfect example of how things can really work on this site!

That Ape Bot looks very nice indeed. Expensive, but what a centrepiece !

tberry740313 Dec 2015 2:09 p.m. PST

FYI: "Ape Bot" is used in Supersystem

Jakar's Not-Robot-Monster fig was what came to mind first when I read the OP's topic.
