non will hold it very well. you can use superglue if you roughen up the mating surfaces of what you are trying to fix. |

you can use superglue if you roughen up the mating surfaces of what you are trying to fix. Superglue is usually too brittle to glue bendable plastic figures. |

Two part super glue. It comes with a primernpen and a tube of glue. Works brilliantly for soft plastic. Loctite make it in the UK and I believe it is widely available |

The small boxes for art of tactic etc are hard plastic, are they not ? So poly-cement should do it as for a normal plastic kit. |

Some kits are worse than others. The Macedonian phalanx one being the worst. I use Loctite gel. I clean and check for fit before gluing. Sometimes have to enlarge the hole or trim part for better fit but for the most part the tolerancing is pretty good. The gel gives you a few minutes to move parts around before setting. None of this is easy if you have fat fingers! Please consider shipping kits to me before burning. They're getting rare. |

Used to use UHU, now use Loctite Power Flex gel … never had a problem with either. Phil |

Big box figures Superglue and then a smear of PVA over the joint when it's dry. Art of Tactic, standard poly cement. |

I guess you can never have too many glues on the shelf. General consensus seem to be loctite. I going to give it a go. Let everyone know the results. Thanx Chris |

Trust me the primer pen is a small miracle |

Superglue doesn't work on soft plastic, nor do polystyrene cements. Uhu or Bostik sort of works, but the best stuff I've found is 'Unibond repair extreme'. This seems to bond soft plastic very well (better than the special soft plastic glues). |

Sorry DW, but the Loctite two part superglue does indee work on soft plastics. The primer is an essential part of the process. But happy to check out Unibond repair extreme as well. |

The loctite gel seems to have done the trick. Still a test of my patience. Thanx again for all the input. |

What the Marks (plastic fan and at work) said. A little roughing helps too. |

This project has been a total disaster. I have done every thing recommended. Even with sanding the connects they just won't stay assembled. I got them to primer and they came apart again. Unfortunately this was a commission (first one I really bungled) I have a good relationship with the dude so I'm not worried (much). It was a major blow to my pride. I love the scale and the details of theses kits. however, I am really starting to despise plastic kits. Thanx again for all the good advice. Chris |

call me strange but standard thin superglue worked for me. If you are in the US, its the blue bottle in the series of blue, purple, and red that every hobby store stocks. It WILL stick to your fingers though… |

I used superglue with an accelerator |

Funny, I never have any issues with superglue and its primer pen. link |
