…EPIC FIGHT! "Got in a quick Neil Thomas World War II game before work recently and found a little bit of time to blog about it. The following is an epic clash between two World War II heavyweights using a rules set that I seriously underestimated! These rules come from his "Wargaming: An Introduction" book. The forces should look familiar because I've been using them in a similar scenario over and over again, trying various rules sets that I like and trying to find things that I dislike. I am finding as I get older that I dislike 2 things: bullsh*t and gimmicky rules features…"

Most interesting. He thinks the one hour wargames WWII rules miss the mark, as do I. I've had the Neil Thomas introductory rules for years and have not tried the WWII rules. We've played the pike and shot and some others. May have to try these. |
