Did anyone get their Soviet box. Our local shop got the Americans but no Soviets. However there is a big contest, send off on their Team Yankee site but we can't enter.

Americans, but no Soviets, were waiting for me when I got home today.

Customs – dontcha just love 'em!

I'm in Australia, adjacent to NZ, so as usual we will literally be the last country in the world to get our preorders! After we let then win the world cup, too!

"Held up in customs" Battle fronts go to excuse.

Give them Syrian passports – they'll be allowed in without inspection. *rimshot*

I wonder if Putin had anything to do with that?

McWong7312 Dec 2015 3:09 a.m. PST

The custom line sounds a bit funny. AFAIK they were delayed a slight bit more than the Yanks due to a last.minute production issue.

Yep, Australia is fully supplied from Battlefront's UK office. Makes sense….

Just had a very nice letter from Battlefront to say I have INSUFFICIENT FUNDS !!!!!! Looked in to my account on line and low and behold I do have sufficient funds.
Wrote back to them to say I did have the money and please send my Russian's post hast. But then I got to thinking….if they only just asked for the money to day when the hell was they going to post it ????????
Not happy Jan.

It will take two to three weeks to get to Australia. PLUS Xmas better make that 4 or 5 weeks. !!!!!

Did the gummit pass a law saying that you can't use QRF or Peter Pig or any other Russians to play Team Yankee? 8-O

:-)

Games and Stuff had their Team Yankee products but most of it was for the preorder crowd. I didn't know that they were doing it until I saw them advertised on the Flames site. To my knowledge they never posted anything on their site at all!

So I have to wait for my toys from The War Store.

However they did have extra rule books and a couple of M113 boxed sets. I got the vanilla flavor version since I'm going to field a mech platoon. My M1s are probably in the post and on their way.. later this coming week I would guess.

All of the Russian toys were sold out.

No, but you have to admit that they BF plastics are lovely models. I got to check them out and they are excellent pieces. Plus they come with magnets which is a serious plus to me.

The rulebook is top notch by the way and well worth the money. Superb illustrations and layout.

Cost of shipping to AU isn't cheap, and one in Australia stocks alt ranges. We're over a barrell in that regard.

Preordered the Soviets and haven't heard a peep about them yet. My lady love was suppose to order the US set for me but seems she forgot so that will have to wait till next paycheck. It's okay, I'll just play Drums and Shakos or something till I get both sets in.

No, but apparently some packages from the UK are being returned to the manufacturer, since "they are too dense to scan".

Not sure if that verbiage applies to the packages themselves, or the people doing the scanning. My guess is the latter, since duh, lead is a rather dense material. ;-)

"The rumor is that The Russian boxes are hung up in US Customs…….."

Soviet invasion turned back at the border by heroic US Customs Official. Film at 11.

…apparently some packages from the UK are being returned to the manufacturer, since "they are too dense to scan".

We have had a few returned to us lately marked "too dense". We are assuming it is because we pack them as tight as possible, to reduce shipping charges, and the high weight:size ratio attracts attention, so they X-ray it and it just comes back black!

But it is random. We've sent an order in three parts and two parts got through fine.

BF shouldn't have that problem, as they are predominantly plastic and resin, but we are shipping large quantities of metal Russian tanks to America at the moment…

Clickenhof13 Dec 2015 4:32 a.m. PST

mmmmm thats where the other part is…..back in the UK…yes got 2 of 3. Have to wait now.

GeoffQRF16 Dec 2015 4:49 a.m. PST

Well we have only been producing them for about 20 years ;-)

And M1s… and M1IP… and M1A1 and M1A2…
