Hi to you all, I was wondering if there are any manufacturers who produce 15mm scale swords to purchase independently from figures. I am specifically looking for 15mm Ottoman Turkish swords but I am guessing I will have to take whats on offer if there is anything out there. So far I have not had much luck finding anything. Might add, I am based in the UK. Many Thanks. |

You might try contacting the Manufacturer of your currently-used figures. Often, Sculptors have sprues of weapons cast, to speed the sculpting process. That way, they don't have to re-sculpt and re-sculpt the same dang Swords all the time! (or whatever weapon is needed) If you contact the Manufacturer directly, you might be able to purchase a few of these weapon sprues from them. |

Could you just make your own? I have done that a few times and it is quite quick, easy, and allows you to have a thinner and more realistically in-scale blade. You just need some brass wire, a small hammer and anvil (I used the side of a bigger hammer) and then a pin vice to hold the 'handle' whilst you file the blade to shape with a needle file. |

I just stabbed myself on one of the steel swords I've given to all my 15mm ECW cavalry -why did I bother. |

Midlander, I did actually wonder about making some, I us usually do my own spears out of brass wire and use the same big hammer (anvil) and small hammer method you use. Might give it a go. Mashrewba, lol, i have done that a few times myself, I know the spear down the finger nail pain all too well ;) Thanks for the help. |

I am quite pleased with the ones I got from Vexillia … I used to make my own but a supply of spares reduced the fiddle factor a bit Phil |
