"Hammerhead 2016" Topic

Hammerhead 2016 is being held at the same great venue, The George Stephenson Exhibition Hall at Newark Showground, which offers a welcoming environment with plenty of natural light in which you can play games, shop for wargame goodies from a large selection of top traders positioned around the perimeter of the hall.

All the games presented at Hammerhead are visitor participation games which are located in the central area of the exhibition hall.

The George Stephenson has its own catering facilities, which will be serving a variety of reasonably priced hot and cold food throughout the day.

Car parking is extensive and free.

Newark Showground is only a few minutes from the A1.

Good to see that it is on on a Saturday. What are public transport links to the showground like?

The Hammerhead venue is ideally located by the A1, A46 and A17 intersection. Visitors arriving by car can take advantage of free on site parking , there's space for 7,000 cars, mostly on hard-standing! Being only a short taxi ride, just 1 mile, from Newark's mainline railway station means London is only just over 1 hour away!

Scarab Miniatures will be there with most of the stock we have on our web site (War & Conquest Ancient/Medieval rules, WW1 in 28mm, WW2 in 1/48th plus Projekt X and some Wargames Factory stock) plus a War & Conquest game – Battle of Amphipolis, as featured in Wargames Illustrated a couple years back, but with different terrain/ city walls.
