I have not been having the best search results while trying to determine what ranges are manufactured in either scale. I am looking for metal only (sorry not a plastics fan so I want to steer clear of them).

Any help identifying ranges that can be used for this conflict would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Doug

Off the top of my head
The Assault Group
Bohemian Troops
Warlord Games
Foundry
Folk who make English Civil War ranges, Perry, Redoubt, Renegade, Bicorne for example may have suitable figures also.

Can't help with 15mm much, there is a cracking new range but I can't remember the name.

Donnington has some, selling one by one, handy to add officers etc, esp mounted.

Last 3 are globally compatible. Og smaller.

Some of the ECW in Essex and others can be ok, with QRF but smaller.

Essex makes TYW figures in 15mm.

Hello Dwight

I saw that on their website but assumed it meant they were closing for a summer holiday. Now you have me worried as their on line order facility worked perfectly well.

I will e-mail them

Thanks for this.

Old Glory 15s/19th Century Miniatures has a complete range, and although Old Glory itself doesn't have a 28mm TYW range as such, you can find most of the western-European types you need in the 17th century Eastern European ranges.

I second Henry Martini: Old Glory 25mm Thirty Years War figs (17th century equivalents) are top notch:

Look under the Historical Miniatures category, under the 1600s to 1700 Category, look at the English Civil War Line, and then under the Late Medieval and Renaissance Category, look at the Eastern Renaissance line.

Foundry ECW, Eastern Renaissance, and Thirty Years War are compatable with the Old Glory.

1st Corps also produce a range of 25/28mm figures for the TYW and ECW.

I just received an e-mail from Totentanz Miniatures to say that my order is on the way so it seems they are open for business after all.

I have suggested that they update their website.

@Totentanz Miniatures

I hadn't heard of your company until I followed the links on this thread. I really like your figures, particularly the ACW line. Do you have any plans to expand this range?

dwight shrute11 Dec 2015 5:17 a.m. PST

That link is brilliant Skeets.

Do you know if there is an equivalent for 15mm figures?

Skeets Supporting Member of TMP11 Dec 2015 1:57 p.m. PST

This site is not as comprehensive, but give it a try: link

"Never heard about this QR ; sizes/ compatibility?"

Fairly average sized, perhaps a bit bigger than Essex and a bit smaller than OG15s. I don't have TYW figures, but the other ranges I do have are fairly consistent. Some of the infantry in particular can be a bit quite bulky but nothing abnormal. Not up to, say, Totentanz for animation but nice enough. Again, I don't know about the TYW range but the medievals have around four variants per pack of 8.

My website has a full listing of both 15mm and 25/8m manufacturers for these periods, with ratings, some photos and links to all of their websites

- 15mm figure listings

- 25/28mm figure listings

(if you Google for "15mm Renaissance Wargames Figures" or "28mm Reanissance wargames figures" these pages should probably come up top of the list as well).
