Temporary like Achilles | 09 Dec 2015 5:12 a.m. PST |
Hello all, just realised (with a bit of a shock at how quickly time has gone by) that I've now clocked up ten years on TMP. Thanks to Bill for a great site and to all the people that have made and continue to help make this a superb resource for miniatures gamers of all stripes. Coming here as a complete novice I learned how to paint thanks to advice from TMPers; discovered where to buy figures; learned about rules, styles of play, ideas for scenarios; discovered a lot about armies, sources, orders of battle, uniforms and so on and so forth. Without the information here I doubt I would have got very far at all. On top of that I've been lucky enough to get to know a few other members reasonably well outside the site, and that has been very rewarding too. The debt is great, so thanks very much TMP and TMPers! Cheers! Aaron |

Aaron, I've been on a touch over 15 years and have had a similar experience although I came on as an experienced gamer from the early 1970s. For the most part, TMP has a good crew of posters who, eventually (), will answer most questions. Here's to at least 15 more! Jim |

Congratulations, Aaron, and I completely agree with your sentiments. Though I enjoy other sites, TMP remains my first stop for hobby news and general banter. |

This topic encouraged me to check my time, 11 years and one month to the day. On this account. I have an account that is just plain "punkrabbitt" that I started a few years before this, but I forgot my password and had never registered my email. Oops. Anyways, I find this site is the best source of information for just about anything, really. War of Jenkin's Ear? Got it. Underwater basket weaving? Someone can point me in the right direction. Terror attack on a given day? Better, more up to date links here than Google. Thank you Bill, editor team, and all the people who post. Even the trolls! |

I just checked, I passed the lucky 13 mark back in October. I echo Aaron and Jim. Helpful bunch of guys, lots of talent and ton of knowledge. Thanks to Bill, the other editors, the advertisers and all the advice and information shared by overall a great bunch of gamers. Sam |

My membership spans back to 2002. So 13 years so far. In that time, I think I visit TMP on a daily basis, save for vacations and the odd busy days. Damon. |

It'll be 16 years officially in about a month. Unofficially, probably 18 or 19 years. I was reading TMP in the late 90's. Thanks, John |

Congratulations Aaron! Eight years for me. I agree, I've found more answers for gaming, painting, unit organization and new figures here than any place else. Most posters are helpful and friendly. |

I started in the previous century, 1999 to be exact.I remember Thane Morgan having it out with the Guild of blades, despising the Big Mean Elf along with so many others.I remember the OFM when he was the Continuum, but above all I miss Allen Curtis and "blink blink". |
