On the Female Marine thread on the UM board, Kyoteblue and I were engaging in our usual "lively" banter. As we frequently disagree, but what fun is it to agree all the time ?!? Well next thing we know, he get's sent to the Dog House !?!? As one of the Eds. must have thought he did a personal attack on me ?!?

No way !!! And how can I retaliate honorably with him in the DH ?!?!?

I have always thought that if the object of a "personal attack" does not object, or consider it an attack, then there can be no personal attack or punishment either.

I do talk to women ! All the Time ! They just are not on TMP ! At the Y, parties, restaurants, MY Friend Lisa, etc… ! And most don't really know much about wargames, history, painting toy soldiers, the military, current events, etc., …

Plus how geeky would it be to talk to most women about playing with Toy Soldiers ?!?!?!? DOH !!!!! "Hey Baby … you want'a come over and look at my toy soldier collection ? "

Legion 4, if you didn't push the button someone else did. Maybe, there should be a rider that states the "allegedly" injured party must push the complaint button or there is no offense. That way a lively banter can occur between friends without someone else sticking their nose in where it's not welcome.

Well, the "!" button is there for people to use.

I hit it occasionally when I am pissed off, usually from some stupid IC diktat that is not designed to actually work but just make someone look shiny and corporate to the would be gods around the Director, followed by someone here pushing one of my buttons. Bill usually ignores me (politely) or suggests it is not worthy of discipline.

This is a community and unfortunately that means some of the community's chronically aggrieved, elitist, or thin-skinned members have the right (which ironically I defend) to file a complaint with Bill/the minions… editors. And, for clarity, I like Minions.
