This week I have mainly being building plastic tanks! The Panthers from Warlord games
Not many parts. Easy to build, they paint up pretty nicely. It also gave me a chance to have another go at the camouflage netting that I just wasn't happy with! I think I'm almost there with it so once I'm happy with it I will give doing a tutorial a bash! The camouflage was air brushed, my first attempt with the air brush! Still away to go but getting there. So they are almost done just the finishing touches to complete, muck mud and general wear to add. So thanks for looking Cheers for now Russ Please feel free to check out my blogg accidentalpainter.blogspot.com |

I sure do like what I'm seeing. Do you plan to add any foliage? |

I have been pretty happy with the Warlord kits especially the all plastic. However I think the Rubicon are just slightly better. |

Thanks guys for the comments Robby I'm debating adding foliage but at the moment I'm not sure, it still needs abit of something to finish it off. Thanks wrgmr1, they don't look half bad for my first attempt with my Airbrush! It was harder to use than I thought. Kallman I haven't seen any of the Rubicon kits in the flesh so to speak but I will keep an eye out! So hopefully they should be finished soon although times going to be in short supply what with Christmas coming up, so thanks for looking Cheers for now Russ |

I'll be doing my 20mm with a brush, not sure how they will end up. |

Wrgmr1 I've done most of my camouflage patterns with a brush and seemed to get pretty good results. Most of my stuff is 28mm stuff but I did try it out on 20mm and the results looked nearly as good, as I'm pretty sure yours will. Good luck with them, it would be nice to see them when they are finished! Hint hint photos hint hint |

Hey Russ, The overall appearance of the your kits look very good. I would recommend using a different color for the netting than the burlap or whatever the material used on the netting itself. This will give the netting a better contrast and dimension than a one color covering. Take a look at real camo netting for reference: link P.

Thanks redmist1122 I will give it ago, I did add browns and greens when I first painted the netting but the greens seem to have overpowered the browns. Adding brown should do the trick nicely, any and all advice is warmly received Thanks again Cheers Russ |

Ok, if thats the case, then go back a do a dry-brush of some beige or something lighter…that will make it pop! Good luck…I hope to post a pic or two of what I did to my Kelly's Hero Tiger… P. |
