I think the suggested basing for Land Ironclads (that being everything on a 40mm frontage) doesn't look quite right to me. I'm thinking about using a 20mm frontage instead (or bigger if larger land ironclads require it). I also like the idea of basing 2 contraptions to a base instead of 4 (which fits with the reduced frontage).

How does everyone else base their miniatures for this? The rules seem to not really mind what basing is used and I won't be playing against anyone else's armies (or can just stick mine to larger bases if I do).

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think you'll be fine. I generally follow their guidelines, but my infantry are on 30mm frontages already and some of my depths vary to fit the ironclad (or alien contraption).

Thanks. It's what I figured but thought it worth throwing out there for input.

I acquired some Land Ironclads recently and the former owner mounted them on FOW bases which is good because the bases work fine for the different sized Land Ironclads.

Good idea, thanks!
