What is your favorite country or city in the world (not your own country/city).For any reason: people, food, culture, spirit, art, architecture r anything else that makes your heart happy.

Beijing – although it has its problems there are many benefits including the food historical sites and the daily excitement on the streets. China respects age so there I was a respected foreigner and found it easy to both make friends and generate opportunities to make a difference .

So very, very hard to choose.

Edinburgh- I just love the history and being from a cold place, the weather is fine to me.

Streitax02 Dec 2015 9:25 p.m. PST

I must admit that I enjoyed my visit to London. I liked Brugge as well, but that has a more limited range of attractions.

Guffey, Colorado

If I'm picking another country, Stirling, Scotland. Yes I know that seems a bit daft but Guffey isn't exactly the Costa del Sol either.

Vienna, Prague, and Budapest. The only cities not bombed all to perdition during the war and managed to save a goodly amount of their art and former Imperial glory as the capitals of the Holy Roman and Austrian Empire. Also the food is great.

You have to love an empire that attempts to conquer the world while doing the two step and not the goosestep. Wine, waltzes, whipped cream, merry widows and cleavage. Yum.

Seoul South Korea, Love the food and hard working people.

However could do without the hapazard streets and student protests.

That said every time I was headed to Europe the trip got canceled, once thanks to Sadam.

Cerdic03 Dec 2015 12:11 a.m. PST

Italy.

I like their cars and car-culture. Also their food, weather, women, and Roman ruins….

Khusrau03 Dec 2015 12:47 a.m. PST

Paris -> Cape Town. Really too many to list. Only one continent I haven't visited.

Dark Knights And Bloody Dawns03 Dec 2015 2:50 a.m. PST

Singapore, relaxed polite people.

Texas Jack03 Dec 2015 3:06 a.m. PST

Prague, and while we are at it, the whole Czech Republic.

The culture is charming, the architecture stunning, the women are beautiful, and beer is the cheapest drink on the menu. What´s not to like?

The UK, it's walk-able and GOOD beer is nearly always at hand (which, if you burn as many calories as I do walking, is quite necessary).

Ashurman03 Dec 2015 7:02 a.m. PST

Another vote for Vienna, and Prague and Budapest have much to recommend them. Honorable mention, in no particular order…London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam…

Edinburgh for a city – great place, easy to get around, great restaurants, friendly people

For a country, the UK

San Diego and the US are close seconds – after San Diego would be Boston
