Dear All, I love the look of the Battlefront 1:100th scale Helos, but want my Fast Air to be the same scale, so I've branched out a litlle:

Well done, you've got to be happy with those. |

Very nice, but I see you had the same problem with the Revell A10 as I did – the bloody wings spring 'flat' and don't hold at the right anhedral angle. :( |

Pretty stuff… I like the use of 1/100 too. |

Looks great! That flight of A10s could ruin your whole day, Comrade. |

Nice!!! Didn't realize that the Revell Easykits were 1/100 scale, I will have to grab a few. A10, Tornado, F-4F Phantom in German markings, F16, GR.9 Harrier, F15 and F16 for land aviation. Got F14 and looks like Super Hornet for naval. Oooh, Apache and Hokum helos in 1/100, too! |

are those a-10's trainer models? why 2 men in the cockpit? |

I think you're interpreting the top of the ejector seat as a second head. |

I'm not so sure, JF, since I've read about this issue in a number of postings, so……. |

Amazon review: "I had a couple of issues with it but remember this is an easy kit and is a quick fun project. The bug or Warthog is another of my all time faves, but the kit has it a two seater had to trim a little to make a good fit, but hey its not a high accuracy model looks good on its pins on my shelf" Sounds like it (?) |

Weird! :) As I said earlier though, there is a problem with the wing-section. Some gentle heating to bend the wings upward should sort it out (unfortunately mine is already glued together by someone else). As you can see below, the wings should be 'flat' out as far as the wheel nacelles and then the outer part of the wing is angle upward. The kit unfortunately has the inner part of the wing angled downward and the outer part of the wing 'flat'.

are those a-10's trainer models? why 2 men in the cockpit? No, that canopy is for the single-seater. The two-seater has a much larger canopy:
(pic is 1/32 scale, but the Trumpeter model is among the best) |

Well as always the arcane knowledge displayed by the TMP collective is both humbling and enabling. When I am sober and have time, I shall attempt to effect a suitable dihedral effect on my A-10's wings…In the meantime, to paraphrase Patton, a crap model on the table now is better than a rivet counter's wet dream tomorrow! |

I have this particular 1:100 model – it does have a 2 seater cockpit (or at least, 2 figures inside. However, the moulding on the cockpick canopy is for a single seat, so my compromise was to paint the canopy balck, thus hiding the 2 heads! Also, the model comes in a two tone green paint job (rather than 3 tone), so its worth repainting anyway. Only issue is for replacement 1:100 decals – ive gone with masking the tail insignia and shark teeth, and will see if that has worked once I remove the bluetack!! |

I just got the su25 from Flying Mule, a diecast model. It says it is 1/100. But seems a bit small, I need to get the measurements and see how close it is. |
