In this encounter, Covenanters square up to a New Model Army force. The Covenanters were heavy on foot, light on horse; the NMA heavy on horse, light on foot.
A lethal combination of mediocre-to-poor Covenanter generalship combined with the powerful sweep of veteran ironsides decided the day well in truly in the NMA's favour.
Unfortunately only close up pics – must take at least one bigger picture view of whole battlefield next post!

Figs look great, and result very historical, which rules do you use?

Rules used were 'To Defy A King'. They are straightforward and capture the period nicely.
