My Google Foo isn't working so great today. I've found orders of battle for Anzio, including the British forces, but I can't find confirmation of the following- Were there British tanks in support of the infantry at Anzio? Or were all the tanks at Anzio American? I'm looking to set up a skirmish scenario at Anzio with British infantry with a few tanks in support. If there are British tanks there, I'd have them in support. If there were no British tanks at Anzio, would the British infantry have fought with American tanks in support of them? |

Sherman tanks of 23rd Armoured Brigade come ashore with infantry at Anzio, Italy, 22 January 1944. I would guess yes! This link shows there were tanks supporting the British attack at Anzio too link |

46th Royal Tank regiment landed on Peter beach. The first 6 weeks of the campaign is the most dynamic. it rained very heavily making it difficult for tanks to use off road movement. |

Ah, looks like I was looking at the wrong OOB. Thanks, for the link. Was it just Shermans, or does anyone know where to find the specific vehicles used at Anzio? For full disclosure, I was thinking of doing a convention game based on the Battle of Anzio but derived from Pink Floyd's When The Tigers Broke Free. The Wall was somewhat autobiographical to Roger Waters, who's father died at Anzio as part of the Royal Fusiliers 8th Battalion Company Z. YouTube link In the movie, they show Stukas attacking, and while the movie is just a movie, and I want to have a skirmish battle to recreate the actual battle, I'm wondering if there were indeed Stukas attacking the Allied beachhead. |

Believe only Night trained Stuka squadron at Anzio. Probably 109's, FW190's, and particularly Ju88s. |

Though most were Shermans – if memory serves? |

I would say yes. There were lots of air attacks on the landings in Italy, by the Germans. |
