Anyone familiar with the FoW ww1 rules for this game?

Do the rules cover late war US Marines – Chateau Thierry / Belleau Wood?

I know BF has US forces but didn't see Marines but they could easily double those units if the rules cover Marines.

thanks
NICK

FOW doesn't have Marines for ANY of it's periods yet!
I'd rate the US Marines in the above battles as Fearless Trained which doesn't match either the Confident Veteran given to 1st Division or Confident Trained given to the 42nd.
If you want to use the list as FT for casual games then the point cost will be about halfway between the two costs in the book.
Go with the CV list if you take them to a comp.

Thanks for the help. I'm just looking to put together a good game for the battle as part of my interest in historic battles. I will prob run at conventions and not tournaments or an organized event other than my own event.

Was hoping that BF had some rules in place already.

Thanks again for the ideas for point costs though, that's a good idea.

If you're just doing scenario battles then change stuff as you like, points are irrelevant.

The US figures are just fine for Marines, since the only real uniform difference was the buttons. The marines initially had a darker green colored uniform but as those wore out were issued army uniforms. So they eventually all look the same.

AS Leadgend stated if your planning on convention game then points don't really matter, through playtesting you will hit on the balance you desire. You may want to consider running your game at Little Wars
