Anyone doing ultramodern gaming with the Legion? If so, can you share what you have – organization, pics, type of scenarios you are playing? |

I might get there one day. I'm still trying to find time to get my Chinese, Americans, Islamic fighters, and Russians up to speed. I'll get to them one day. |

Would love to see a scenario at Kourou with launchpad scenery and an Ariane V or a Soyuz! Would be the sort of modern+jungle mix you usually only see in video games. |

Not sure if I have pics of my modern legionaries or not – they are helping to shore up Yerbouti against insurgencies. |

The FFL Paras could end up…anywhere. |

*If* (and that is a very big if) I ever manage to do my modern bush wars project, FFL will be the only major military player. |

I don't know why it happened, but I was playing two different campaigns and ran out of of steam. In any case, I had six AWESOME fights while it lasted. Here's a link to them. Three fights were fictional in Estonia, and three were fictional in Perplakistan. I will get back to these, and to some others, at some point. V/R, Jack |

In 1/72, I have some plastic modern(-ish) French infantry (Esci and Caesar), 4xVABs, an AMX-30 tank and a couple of derivatives – 2xRoland AA and 1x155mm cannon – plus choppers that will work as French (including a couple of Eurocopter Tigers). Currently, just skirmish with the muj in Afghanistan (which doesn't need Roland). Some suggestions: 1. a Libyan invasion of Chad with limited French reaction forces blocking Libyan armour and the occasional Mig. 2. Protect the ESA space base from infiltrators from ….? 3. Operation Serval in Mali. Note they didn't use heavy armour. 4. Legion and Russian Spetsnaz coordinating against insurgents in Syria. |

In minis they just look the same as any others. You don't hear the various accents. |

I have much the same as FPR, VAB based infantry, with Leclerc tank platoon/VBL/AMX 10/Panhard armoured cars as needed……also light trucks-Acmatt's and Peugeots…..( Liberation figures and S&S Models vehicles in the main). Have a Super Puma to knock up too and several Alouttes in the queue! Mali,Djibouti/Somalia and central/western Africa for settings and scenarios….. |
Jcfrog | 30 Nov 2015 11:14 a.m. PST |
Super puma would more likely be alongside Gazelles |

I don't know why France won't commit the Legion to Syria. This sort of fight is tailor-made for the Legion. |
Gaz0045 | 30 Nov 2015 11:17 p.m. PST |
Allouttes do 'double' duty for SADF too………along with another Puma! |
