A guest post from Jasper the Maremma sheepdog over at the Woolshed. We hosted a wedding reception. I was amazed that they managed to fit in 80+ seated guests in my gaming room.

Newly weds – let the battles commence! (OK – a pretty tenuous link to wargaming but what the heck – it was nice)

Not my family – just used my woolshed. This is the second wedding that has been held there since we moved in six years ago. Don't charge anything – more of a community service.

Very kind of you to offer that free.

That's most commendable, but how a "warchest" strategically, if discreetly, placed near the exit? People who enjoyed the premises could contribute to their workday purpose…

They were a young couple starting out. Think of it as giving them a hand when they will need their money for more important things in the future. saying that though, we got some wine, half a ham, some money for power and a heap of leftover food (not all that spit-roasted sheep got eaten). I also let locals use my stockyards – usually get venison, fish and produce in return.

That sounds like a win-win situation to me. grin
