Has anyone bought and assembled these? How fiddly are they and what is the quality like? I am seriously contemplating getting enough boxes of these to field a crusader opponent force. Thanks for you input in advance TMP!

I have a box on order, will let you know when I get them. I have the GB Arab Heavy and Light Cavalry boxes and really like them!!

I am building a SAGA Moor Army.

Yes, I have bought two individual sprues from an ebay bitz dealer. As such I don't know if a box contains a command sprue.

They come five bodies to a sprue (full body, not split torso like some) and have 8 heads. They provide five spear arms, but only two bows, so if you need missile troops, you might need to buy metal. There is also a single straight sword and trumpeter arm. There are five shields, two teardrop, three round.

Quality. They are decent, made of hard model plastic, and there were no miscasts on mine. I used model glue on mine and they assembled without too much difficulty. [Also assembled some Fireforge Steppe Warriors at the same time who were definitely fiddly, although in terms of build options Fireforge was more generous with heads, weapon arms, and even helmets.]

Now as I only needed a few for a themed Frostgrave warband, I just bought the two sprues. For bulk unarmored spearmen for large battles, they seem fine.

I have 3 boxes. They go together in a snap. I really like them!

I'd have bought more from him, but at the time he had not configured his store properly, so the only buy option was "Buy Now". Don't know if he's added "Add to Cart" since then.

Arab Cavalry, Syrians and Egyptians were lancer, not bow cavalry. I would think another box of Seljuk Turk Lance and Bow Heavy Cavalry would be on the way. Anyone know?

have bought a box of foot, heavy cav and light cav
foot is painted, lovely figures that paint up very easily
heavy cav looks promising but only base coated yet
light cav have not yet opened

I believe that Gripping Beast were trying to cover all those with the two kits as some of the torsos and heads are clearly Turk; I would not expect a third plastic kit

^^
Yes, you can build Saracen or Turkic light and heavy cavalry from these sets.

They are quite quick to put together.
