Thank you to everyone for their kind comments on my work. The re-fight continues, with a special thank you to Wolfgang Meyer for kindly providing some of the furniture on display at the barricades Timeline 3.15PM 7th French Infantry Division, Lieutenant-General Baron Jean-Baptiste Girard commences the assault on St. Amand La Haie supported by 3rd French Cavalry division, Lieutenant-general Baron Jean Simeon Domon and it's artillery.
8th French Infantry division, under Lieutenant-General Baron Etienne-Nicholas Lefol presses home it's attack on St. Amand, fiercely resisted by Prussians from the 3rd Brigade General Major Friedrich Wilhelm von Jagow.
Prussian reserve cavalry, GeneralLieutenant Friedrich Ehard von Roeder deploys near Bry.
1V French Corps, Lieutenant-General Maurice-Etienne Comte Gerard, commences the attack on Ligny. 13th French Infantry Division, Lieutenant-General Baron Louis-Joseph Vichery assaults the Chateau De Looz area whilst 12th Infantry Division, Lieutenant-General Baron Marc-Nicholas Pecheux move against the Ferme den Haut.

More great shots! The investment in better trees really shows -- imagine the clumpy ground foam-style trees and how it would detract from the overall realism of the scenes. Keep the pictures coming. |

Fantastic work – I think I saw some previous pictures but didn't really look at it Are you building this from individual figures and using flock to cover up the bases ? How did you do the mist effect ? it just gets better the more I look ….. John |

Thank you to everyone for their kind comments. My wife, Der Feldmarschall actually thinks I am insane, but it was her research that produced the realistic trees that add so much. The figures are all individual and have to be moved by hand. The sand table is excellent for this as the ground can be dampened and the bases covered with the sand and flock. The smoke is from a theatrical smoker. I used a bee smoker for my Waterloo re fight and the effect was truly eye watering! The wife insisted on a substitute! I am currently re fighting the 3.30pm phase as the opposing forces get to grips with each other and hope to have some pictures in the near future. |
