You are insane.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

More great shots! The investment in better trees really shows -- imagine the clumpy ground foam-style trees and how it would detract from the overall realism of the scenes.
Keep the pictures coming.

Fantastic work – I think I saw some previous pictures but didn't really look at it

Are you building this from individual figures and using flock to cover up the bases ?

How did you do the mist effect ?

it just gets better the more I look …..

Thank you to everyone for their kind comments. My wife, Der Feldmarschall actually thinks I am insane, but it was her research that produced the realistic trees that add so much.

The figures are all individual and have to be moved by hand. The sand table is excellent for this as the ground can be dampened and the bases covered with the sand and flock.

The smoke is from a theatrical smoker. I used a bee smoker for my Waterloo re fight and the effect was truly eye watering! The wife insisted on a substitute!

I am currently re fighting the 3.30pm phase as the opposing forces get to grips with each other and hope to have some pictures in the near future.
