Great looking project. I just finished painting 12 Spanish guns and crew using Baccus 6mm. I couldn't figure out exactly what colour the buttons should be so I didn't paint any.

I think you are taking this too seriously

The Spanish were notoriously short of uniforms and everything else and also rarely obeyed orders

So there is likely to be a mix of colours

Get that brush out and make it happen !!
