You might like to take a look at Phil Dutrė's extensive and growing index of magazine articles at link All I know is that in the nearly ten years I've been running Battlegames and now Miniature Wargames, I haven't been sent a single article on the subject — truly a forgotten war. Henry MWBG |

One of the early Wargames Illustrated issues had a Command Decision scenario on the winter retreat and there have been a couple of articles on Imijin battle, plus a Mini Warg had an article on Pork Chop Hill (it was a game from Salute, so may have been in an April issue). That's the best I can do to help…. |

It truly is a forgotten war. My dad enlisted to fight in the Korean War. He could not be drafted because he was the only surviving son of his mother (his mother's only other son served on the USS Helena in World War II, but did not survive the war). Although my dad was never sent to Korea, he did end up serving in combat in Vietnam many years later. Anyway, many of his friends in our hometown did serve in Korea, and the stories that they share are truly amazing. The combat that our troops engaged in during the war was ever bit as hard fought as any during World War II. We really do need to remember the courage and sacrifice exhibited by our veterans who served in Korea and never forget the "Forgotten War." Kevin |

Reiver Castings do 20mm Korean War. They also do an inexpensive guide to the war in booklet form. Very useful and well worth having. reivercasting.wordpress.com |

I know you'd asked about magazine articles, but there are a couple of books by Donald Knox that I thought were really good. The Korean War: Pusan to Chosin: An Oral History The Korean War: Uncertain Victory: An Oral History Basically part 1 and part 2. Provides first hand accounts from the soldiers there starting with Task Force Smith. |
