Both are pretty close :)

I think that they have captured Oddball and Turk well, Kelly pretty good, but Moriarty is not quite right. Just one thing though – in one battle scene I seem to remember Moriarty being the bow machine gunner (apart from being the mechanical genius that is), not the driver. Am I right?

Pardon my ignorance, were US servicemen permitted to sport full beards during WW2?

I know the character is an early hippy-type based on the film "Kelly's Heroes". I'm just curious to know.

No they weren't. Some could get scruffy while on the front lines in combat but clean shaven was what was expected at all other times.

But of course Oddball's crew was the exception to the rule. grin

And since I have an already built old plastic M4 (from a kit), maybe I should get this set to spiff up the tank.

Always with the negative vibes Brian! It's a beautiful model of Moriarity! :-)

See the article on Sgt. Bill Mauldin vs. Gen. George S. Patton for both some insight and one of Mauldin's cartoons on just this subject.

Don't forget the piece of pipe to let the main gun masquerade as "maybe a 90mm".

Has anyone bought from this company? Looking at their website, it appears they are out of Spain?

Thanks for the post.
