I thought that in FoW one model represented one vehicle. I may be mistaken, but the Bannon's Boys box, there's 1 x M1 for the CO, and two lots of 2 x M1, each group representing a platoon. Is the scale then one model = two vehicles?

It's always been 1/1 in all their rules. I can't imagine they would change it now.

The Team Yankee scenario in the new Decembers wargames illustrated would suggest a big yes to the 1;1 .

Yes, but my understanding is that it is in a fairly abstract manner,

Do the platoons have to be at full strength? Don't most FOW platoons allow you to adjust their size so you don't have to go with full strength platoons?

Most FoW platoons give you a bit of wiggle-room. The Soviet company formations can be as small as 3 tanks or as large as 10. Infantry platoons can be as small as 2 squads when 3 is full strength.

Not sure how the Abrams platoons are going to work, since they're platoons of 4. 2 tanks is awfully fragile.

Yes, in all thing's F.O.W. ""Fairly Abstract!""

1:1, but for points expensive kit they set the minimum models per platoon low.

The T.O. & E. Cards I saw gave point values based on the number of vehicles in the unit. If I remember an Abrams unit was from 2-5 tanks.

I think all the T.O.&E.s are done like this…..

I get the impression that 5 tanks is what they're selling as a group. Nothing more. Team Yankee had only 10 M-1s so two packs should get you to full force. That's two tanks for the CO (Bannon) and X0 (Uleski) and 8 tanks for the two platoons. Rather convenient really.

The above data cards may be out dated…..but there we go

I'm looking to hear how this works for larger games.
