I dont get on here every day, usually once a week, I logged on the other day to see I had a message from a fellow TMPer to offer sympathy over a doghousing I had received, which I completely missed, the entire sentence, I was elsewhere. Have I somehow 'won' have I 'stuckit to the man' Oh, the doghousing was me ripping the out of a brave hunter tussling with his prey through a scope, from a few hundred yards away, and Rambo must've dobbed me in. I saw that. Swapping the gun for a pointy stick would make it a more interesting sport I reckon…. |

Funny. Maybe if you ask nicely Bill will DH you when you are paying attention. |

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does a hipster have to buy its album? |

I don't think you ripped the out of me…I enjoy hunting, you don't. Yet your views on my hobby or the culture of hunting makes you right? Hardly…just as my desire to do so doesn't make you wrong. |

Ok I've looked at this to much not to give up my story. A number of years ago backpacking with a friend and a cousin on the Appalachian trail we were walking single file maybe 15 feet apart but not doing much but walking on the trail. All of a sudden with no warning and I'm positive none of us touched it a tree, really not much more than a sapling about a dozen feet tall falls onto the trail behind us. Other than it hitting the ground it was the only sound it didn't cry, wimper, or call out. So this eternal question is it does make a sound (otherwise I would have never know it fell over being behind.) Me being there or not only makes me aware but not changing any noise it makes. |
