I am looking for modern fighters on horseback. I know that the Rhodesians had mounted scouts. I also know that there were instances of para-military types in third world countries using horses as well as the special forces using horses in Afghanistan. I would also like to find some civilians on horseback. These are for either ATZ games or modern guerilla warfare skirmish games in a what if setting.

As I mentioned in the title I am looking for 28mm. What constitutes modern is a bit more flexible. I am looking to use them in various scenarios that a set in anywhere from the late 1970's to present day. I like the idea of mounted guerilla fighters and/or zombie survivors.

Eureka!! Thanks Terrement those eureka miniatures look good. I am not very good at modifying figures but these are a start. Again, thanks

I had the same issue. I was able to convert a lot of Hasslefree and Crooked Dice miniatures due to their wide legged stance. So would buy 2…one for the horse (Perry ACW) and 1 as a dismounted version…
