This one's for you, IainAF! I've written some new orbats and TO&Es for the Austrians in the 1980s. Some interesting stuff here, including lots of tank turret bunkers and a complete absence of guided weapons (for those who like a challenge)! PDF link As usual, these are written for my Modern mod of Battlefront: WW2 by Fire & Fury Games fireandfury.com Each infantry stand therefore represents a section/squad and each vehicle, aircraft or heavy weapon represents 2-3 actual items. |

None taken… ;) I'm going to finish my re-vamp of the Soviet lists first, followed by Warpac, though the Swedes and Finns are likely to appear at some point soon(ish). |

I noticed that you list the 4K 7FA-G127 as an option – I was under the impression that they were only built for export, the Bundesheer preferred to upgrade their existing vehicles to A1 standard instead. |

MA, I must admit that I was losing the will to live trying to work out what the alphabet soup of Austrian APC designations was, so I've probably used the wrong designation! What's the designation for the upgraded version? I used the Saurer/Steyr 'commercial' designations for them, partly because they seem to be better known and also because I couldn't discover what the Austrian military designations were for all the variants. |

But what about *my* will to live? :) Near as I can tell, the upgraded APCs were collectively referred to as SPzA1, the engine-specific designations being dropped. The rest of the alphabet soup appears to have gotten worse rather than better, however – I'm tempted to recommend to simply ignore the upgrade, since I'm not sure any of it is actually all that game-relevant: - automatic transmission - new steering system - improved engine cooling - lights modified to comply with new traffic regulations - maintenance hatch enlarged and fitted with distinctive side-opening doors instead of bolted-on plate - new intrument panel - heater - 3-tone camo …and looking that up, I noticed that you got the G1 and G2 suffixes backwards. G1 referred to the version with the 20mm Oerlikon (pre-A1; after the upgrade, they were denoted by /MK) G1 is for the .50cal, and only from 1968 until the A1; before, they had no suffix; after the upgrade, it was a horrible mess depending on use that gives me a headache.
