Must of used a nuke to kill that many.

And, we know that how?

On the plus side, they do appear to be demonstrating how to run an effective air campaign against an radical Islamic terror group, so perhaps others will take note, and learn something from that.

Turks have shot down a Russian jet big trouble ahead.

You know they like to behave like theban sacred band. So 300 under 300 or rather behind…
Does not take a lot of space if it was foreigners being trained in local ways.

The Russians like big thermobaric stuff which can do hell,of a damage inside buildings;)

which can do hell,of a damage inside buildings;)

And on the 250K civilians that live there….

It helps if you don't give two whits about collateral damage. The Russians have had a tendency to blow them all up and let God sort them out, while the West takes great pains to avoid that sort of thing and then publicly flogs itself when they are unable to keep the nastiness of war spilling over onto nearby civilians.

Which is the more proper method of war is up to you and your own sensibilities.

Yes, I agree TGerritsen. And if this report is true,
I see it as a positive step. Daesh may have to be eliminated before the Syrian Civil may come to some conclusion ?

600 less or 60 less are always good news.
In other thead some ex Isis say that the amount of 2.000 to 3.000 voluntaires they pick up some time ago… was reduced to 30 to 35 now… so 600 less…!

Hopefully, they are losing troops now but the lower recruitment might be a shift in directions. ISIS now realizes that 10k, 20k, 60k troops near Syria are not going to be able to do it right now. Start doing further Paris types of attacks and they will suck the will to fight right out of countries. Here is the US 3-4 Paris type attacks and we will be screaming for out overseas troops to be brought back home and the guard called up. Once they have troops leaving the Syria region then ISIS has more opportunities to advance.

@Paulgenna: were you not in the US on 9/11?

We had civilians recommending nuking countries (Afghanistan of all places), but Al Quaeda wasn't a country. DAESH does hold territory, so it's at least possible to nuke them.

Another major coordinated attack on the US is likely to get all sorts of hell unleashed on the territory held by DAESH. Up to and possibly including nukes.

Whatever happened to going in to Pakistan to deal with all of the Taliban there?

How quickly some get distracted.

Blackhorse MP25 Nov 2015 12:57 p.m. PST

600? Color me skeptical.

Lion in the Stars25 Nov 2015 6:19 p.m. PST

Pakistani Taliban are apparently happy staying in Afghanistan and Pakistan and not shitting anywhere else. So they're no longer an immediate-priority target.

DAESH, however, keeps trying to up the ante and remain a FLASH priority target.
