Hi everybody,

Did someone already try to use Lion Rampant for Ancients skirmish? Is there a mod somewhere?

Thanks

Alberto

I'm not sure anything needs to be done. Just equate the current unit types with ancient types.

Hi Joker,

Thanks for the hint!

Many thanks David,

Glad to read your blog.

I purchased an Hail Caesar starter box, including the rules and now I have 30 romans/90 celts in 28mm and I don't want to start for budget reasons and a long list of unfinished projects two 28 mm ancient armies, having already a pile of 1/72 plastic ancient stuff waiting. Hence my question about Lion Rampant and Ancient skirmish.

Your information is really a good starting point !

Cheers

Alberto

An article in a very recent issue of Wargames: Soldiers & Strategy uses it with the First Punic Wars:

Many thanks Beast, "Eagle Rampant" looks promising.

You're welcome. I try to stay abreast of all things, um, rampant.

That issue may even still be on the newsstands here, but on this side of the Atlantic, we are typically a full issue behind.

There are some great ideas here, OneHua I'm thinking of doing biblicals, wondering if anyone has other ideas on chariots tha would make the a defined type as part of the force build?
Any other ideas for othe troop types would be interesting too.
Cheers all I think LR hits the sweet spot for big 'not' skirmish.
